Hair colouring is an art form. At AR London, it's not about taking the traditional route of booking in for a specific colour service like balayage or half-head highlights. Our colour artists prefer to spend time talking through end looks and recommending a curated mix of professional techniques and L’Oreal Professionel hair colours to create your perfect look.
We don’t believe in following a set approach – being open-minded and fluid is part of how we do things. Getting the right result means being creative, communicative and in tune with our clients. A specific style might demand some dry cutting, a new product or the use of a razor. Our stylists instinctively know what works and it’s their job to make sure you trust them and are on board with their creative direction.

We’re fairly relaxed, but have a few house rules that keep things running smoothly and help us deliver the best service possible. Please make sure you read them before booking an appointment.
Check us out before you check in. Pop into the salon for a quick chat with your stylist before making a booking.
We insist on a patch test for any technical services. Just pop into the salon at least 48 hours before your appointment and we’ll take care of it. If you’re coming in for a consultation, it makes sense to get it done then.
We hold the cost of your first visit to secure your appointment. A 50% deposit is held for all colour, technical and extension appointments.
48 hours — no charge.
24 hours — 50% charge.
No show — 100% charge.
If you don’t show up, it has a huge impact on the team and our business. Please let us know if you can’t make an appointment in good time so another client can take that booking.
We know that things come up and you may need to cancel your appointment. Please give us as much notice as possible so we have time to fill your slot — under 48 hours and you’ll have to pay. See our deposit policy.
Cancellations due to Covid: We absolutely encourage our clients at this time to stay safe and adhere to government guidelines in connection with the Coronavirus pandemic, however the disruption and cancellation of appointments at the last minute are having a severely damaging effect on our business and the industry as a whole. Please be aware that all cancellations due to Covid will be subject to our cancellation policy, however customers that can show a positive PCR result will be issued a refund of the charge.
We do our best to run a tight ship, so if you’re late, it affects everyone. Why not arrive 15 minutes earlier and grab a cuppa? You’ll be very welcome. Timeliness makes us happy.
We are cashless. We welcome all major credit/debit cards and Adam Reed London gift cards. You can also pay over the phone.

Fournier Street is outside the Congestion Charge zone.
Pay by Phone parking is available on Commercial St, Brick Lane and surrounding areas. There are carparks in the Truman Brewery on Hanbury Street, Brick Lane and on Shoreditch High Street.
Traffic is often a little crazy around Spitalfields, so it’s a good idea to allow some extra time for your journey.
